Out of Town

I will be out of town visiting my parents in Florida from June 24 through July 1, I'm posting so my swap partner will know. Since our June swap is to be sent out by June 25(?), I will be out of town to receive the swap. I will be having someone stop by to feed my kitties but I'm going to put a hold on my mail. Not sure but my swap partner may want to send the pack to arrive after I return that way I won't lose it (I live in a 64 unit building and sometimes packages 'walk away.')? Just wanted to put that out there...

I can't wait!

Summer of Yarn Love Swap Questionaire

Here is the questionnaire, my answers in Bold/Italics

1. Do you knit or crochet? Knit How long have you been at your craft? a couple months
2. Do you spin? What type of spinning? Not yet, a group of us are planning on getting together to learn in a couple weeks
   
3. What are your favorite yarns/fibers? I've been using a lot of alpaca, cotton and wool, I like thick and thin fibers What are your least favorite yarns/fibers? I haven't really found anything I don't like, but I'm not really comfortable with fingering weight or sock yarn
   
4. What are your favorite colors? brown, orange, yellow, blue, purple, teal, I like a most colors except pastel shades What are your least favorite colors? Pastels
   
5. Are there any yarns/brands that you are dying to work with but never have? bamboo, soy silk, other eco-friendly yarns, plus I love Malabrigo...love love love it!
   
6. What is/are your favorite types of projects to knit/crochet? right now I've been doing small 2-4 day projects like bags, coasters, and hats
   
7. What are you currently working on? I've got a hat for my boyfriend in progress and I'm almost done with a series of little drawstring bags for my girls, then moving on to a felted Noro bag maybe the Booga Anything you plan to work on this summer? Besides the Booga, I don't have any plans yet
   
8. What is your favorite FO? (Post a pic if you would like.) I love the drawstring bags and felting! I also am really happy with the needle roll Angela and I made last weekend.
   
9. What is your oldest UFO? I foolishly started fingerless mittens only a couple weeks after starting to knit...I'm hoping to get the motivation to finish them before next winter.
   
10. Are there any techniques that you want to learn? Spinning, which will hopefully happen soon!

12. Are you a sock knitter? What are your foot measurements? Not yet...I definitely want to try them but not for a while.
    
13. Do you collect anything? I have a thimble collection that was passed on to me from my grandma, so I've kept adding to it over the years.
    
14. Do you have a yarn winder and/or swift? no, I've been using a friend's
    
15. Do you love sweets? What are your favorites? Dark chocolate and almonds, gummies and fruity candy
    
16. What are your favorite scents? tropical, coconut, pina-colada
    
17. Where do you keep your needles/hooks? a friend and I just made a needle roll for circulars and dpn's last weekend
    
18. Do you have a wishlist (Amazon, Etsy, etc?) No, but I could if it helps
    
19. Having a birthday this summer? no, in October
    
20. Are you allergic to anything??? Melons and Avocados, trees, plants, outside...
